Another multi billion prize pool at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Vietnam with the 8 Max Main Event Warm Up drawing 471 entries to generate a substantial VN₫ 6,853,050,000 (~US$ 291,870). This is the largest prize pool to date, overtaking the Billionaire Club High Stakes Challenge by a small margin. The event also shattered last year’s numbers, boosting the pot to over triple the guarantee.

At the completion of the two flights, a combined 60 players advanced to the next stage. Day 1B chip leader Hanna Azimai bagged up 617,000 equivalent to 102 bb; she will be the player to chase coming final day. Azimai first racked up big by eliminating Anton Widjaya with top two pair over top pair. To close out the day, she delivered a crushing defeat to Sang Nguyen. (See hand below)
