The Main Event opened at 1pm on Thursday, November 17 at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) in Taipei City. Less than two hours in, the field breached 100 entries and eventually closed at 189. Among the bigwigs that graced the felt were Chen An Lin, Brian Tougias, and Yohwan Lim. Only the latter advanced, packing up the second largest stack out of the 24 remaining players. Another notable player surviving the heat was Yen Han “Pete” Chen though as the shortest stack.

It is expected to be a big one so for those looking to join the action, get there early to avoid the line.
