Entering the last day to qualify for the APC Da Nang MAIN EVENT, it would seem an overlay was eminent seeing that the first two flights barely covered half of the guaranteed ₫8 Billion prize pool however, this freaky Friday pulled through as 171 entries rushed in for Day 1C and another 95 entries for the Day 1D Turbo to amass a cumulative 404 entries (Day 1A – 56, Day 1B – 82).

Gaining the chip lead was Hui Seok Kim as he toppled Ahmed Ibrahimi’s larger stack with his Ace-King over Ace-Queen to collect more than 400,000 in chips. This was roughly half his stack at bagging. More luck came Kim’s way with pocket Aces fueling in more chips to close the day with 781,000 (65 BB).
Closely behind the leader, by just 2 BB, was Jose Colada with his 753,000 stack (63 BB). Colada’s strong day ended by eliminating the short stacked bubble player. Day 1C wrapped up with 21 players reaching ITM

The festival has been ongoing since February 27 and will conclude on March 5. A total of 50 players reached ITM and will continue to battle out the ₫7,837,600,000 (~$330,350) prize pool on Main Event Day 2. Each one is guaranteed a minimum ₫36,000,000 (~$1,520) but all eyes will be on the huge top prize of ₫2,148,600,000 (~$90,560).
